Let me tell you a secret: hesitation is the real dream killer. Not failure, not making a wrong move, not even running out of money. It’s sitting there, spinning in your head, overthinking the same loop for the 42nd time, convincing yourself you need just one more sign, one more plan, one more perfect moment.
Spoiler alert: that perfect moment? It’s never coming.
I see this again and again in my coaching. People with brilliant ideas, powerful gifts, and so much heart get stuck in the quicksand of hesitation. They wait for the universe to roll out a red carpet, or for conditions to be flawless. Meanwhile, time is passing, opportunities are flying by, and their dreams are waiting impatiently like, “Girl, are we doing this or not?”
Now here’s where I get a little firm: STOP waiting. Just jump.
I’m a double Sagittarius. My default mode is leap-first, figure-it-out-later. And guess what? Every single time I’ve leapt, it’s worked out. Maybe not in the way I thought. But it always moved me forward and I’ve never regretted it. And honestly, the forward momentum is what changes everything and then leads you to the next thing and then the next.
Think about it: when have you ever leapt and then truly regretted it? Not the “ugh, that was messy” regret, but the deep, life-soul regret. Probably never. Because even the messy leaps give you wisdom, confidence, and stories that will one day make people lean in and say, “Wait, you did what?!”
Overthinking keeps you safe, but safe like a hamster wheel. You’re busy, you’re thinking, you’re planning, you’re doing something, but you’re not actually moving. And your soul didn’t come here to be a hamster, on a wheel going nowhere.
So here’s my invitation (and a little challenge):
Send the email.
Launch the thing.
Book the trip.
Sign up for the class.
Say yes.
Stop stalling. Stop waiting. Stop convincing yourself you need more proof. You are the proof. You don’t need anything else. You don’t need anyone’s permission. I promise. Just do the thing. Be like a Sagittarius, just do it and figure out the rest later.
Leap. The net always shows up. And if it doesn’t? Congratulations, you just grew wings.
In Love, Light and taking risks, xo Donna
